The management team of Nexilis AG consists of two scientists with a longstanding business experience in the medical device industry; Dr. Schlottig and Dr. Horst.
The Director, Dr. Schlottig has long standing experience in product development and has held different management positions in internationally operating, leading medical device companies. Prior to founding Nexilis AG, Dr. Schlottig was Head of Development Biomaterials for Synthes AG, the leading manufacturer for trauma implants. In this position he co-founded a development team in the biomaterial sector which had responsibility for developing new products based on different technologies including production up-scaling.
Prior to founding Nexilis AG in March 2005, Dr. Horst was Head of Osteobiologics for Synthes, the leading manufacturer for trauma implants. In this position he was responsible for research, development, market approval and manufacturing of a variety of different biomaterials. He joined Synthes in July 2001 from Geistlich Pharma AG where he was heading the orthopaedic division, a post he held for two years.
Dr. Horst recently founded another company Accelerex GmbH. |
